On March 6, nonprofit afterschool providers met with city council members and CASE for Kids, where they were presented with checks ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 for their out-of-school-time programs. CASE for Kids received 74 applications requesting funding for the 2024-2025 school year, an increase from the prior year.

The grants provide unique learning opportunities facilitated by local nonprofits. These opportunities cater to each district’s out-of-school time needs and help keep children in communities engaged and safe. With City Connections funding, program directors can organize fine arts, academic enrichment, college exploration and youth mentoring activities.
