Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) Chief of Staff Danielle Bartz and Education Foundation and Partnerships Director Trina Silva attended the Pasadena Independent School District Education Foundation Donor Appreciation Breakfast on Sept. 30. The event featured food prepared and served by district culinary arts students, student performances, remarks from Superintendent Dr. Toni Lopez, and interactive stations highlighting small grant projects made possible through donors and partners, including the Education Foundation of Harris County (EFHC). HCDE’s philanthropic arm has supported Pasadena ISD with funding for initiatives such as making AP Tests affordable for college hopefuls, Power Up! classroom charging stations and tornado relief for district families. Since 2020, EFHC has contributed $75,000 in grant funding to Pasadena ISD, fueling innovation and support for students and educators.
