Harris County Department of Education Chief of Staff Danielle Bartz and Civic Engagement Specialist Arnaldo Sandoval-Guerrero recently met with local leaders to address solutions pertaining to issues across the city, region and state. They joined others at the Greater Houston Partnership’s most recent Future of Texas in 2025, a monthly series where leaders engage to shape the future of their communities.

Held July 1, the event featured state Reps. Mano DeAyala (District 133), Dennis Paul (129) and Lauren Ashley Simmons (146) for a panel discussion on the 89th Texas Legislature. Topics covered from the most recent legislative session included education and workforce development. Bartz and Sandoval-Guerrero gave Simmons an update on Fortis Academy students who visited her at the Capitol in March and met with Simmons’ staff at her district office in May.
