Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) Board President Amy Hinojosa joined Pasadena Independent School District Education Foundation personnel in December for its Prize Parade, delivering the good news to Pasadena educators and students who received grants from the Education Foundation of Harris County (EFHC) during the 2024 fiscal year.

In total, Pasadena ISD received two $10,000 grants – Making Advanced Placement Tests Affordable for College Hopefuls and Recognizing PISD’s Shining Stars and Distinguished Educators. Hinojosa and others in the Prize Parade delivered the news and presented checks to Pasadena Memorial High School, Miller Intermediate School, Milstead Middle School, Turner Elementary School and Young Elementary School.
