Houston Community College helped area residents explore their paths to success through the first annual Resilience Workforce Collaborative Resource Fair on Oct. 18. Representatives from Adult Education attended the event which offered an opportunity to inform students and families about the various classes and workforce certifications available through Harris County Department of Education (HCDE). Attendees were particularly interested in the English as a Second Language classes, and construction and medical field certifications. Assistant Superintendent of Education and Enrichment CJ Rodgers provided insight to interested parties about how Executive Leadership offers support to adult learners throughout their educational career and HCDE’s promise to help secure employment upon completion of their classes.
