In support of Harris County Precinct 2, Harris County Department of Education Board President Amy Hinojosa and Chief of Staff Danielle Bartz recently attended the precinct’s nonprofit organization fundraiser. Precinct2gether, Inc., celebrated 45 years of community impact, and Bartz and Hinojosa, who represents Precinct 2, attended the Happy Hour fundraiser on Sept. 12 at East River 9. 

Precinct2gether started in 1975 as the East Harris County Senior Citizens program. The East Harris County Youth program was established a few years later, and in 2007, the two groups merged and expanded their service to veterans in addition to youth and senior citizens under the current name.
