On Jan. 28, the Houston City Council approved increasing funding for out-of-school time program providers. This program, called City Connections, is administered by the Center for Afterschool, Summer and Enrichment (CASE) for Kids, a division of the Harris County Department of Education (HCDE). The increase continues a four-year partnership between CASE and the city to fund afterschool programs throughout Houston providing more opportunities for students after the school bell rings.
CASE is proud to be the administrative partner for the program, putting funds to work for City of Houston communities, students and families. CASE for Kids will recognize organizations, staff and partners involved in City Connections during a celebration on March 6 at the Irvington Conference Center.
