To best serve Head Start students and connect the young learners to civics and voting, Harris County Department of Education’s Civic Engagement Team recently visited Blue Willow Bookshop to find books for the upcoming grant year. Store employees helped Civic Engagement Coordinator Avery Spranger, Specialist Arnaldo Sandoval-Guerrero and Intern Wilmer Guevara pull civics and elections books for consideration for the team’s Head Start engagement with the young students.
