Bold ideas and big voices came together on Oct. 29 at the Hilton Americas to shape the future of Harris County schools. Assistant Superintendent of Education and Enrichment Dr. CJ Rodgers, Chief of Staff Danielle Bartz and several members of #TeamHCDE attended the 2025 ConnectED Luncheon with top government, PK-12 and higher education leaders from across the region.

Good Reason Houston hosted the leading annual summit, which discussed the latest data on student outcomes, how to advance progress in education and how to support student success through various programs. Insights from keynote Raj Chetty, an economics professor from Harvard University, and several local panelists driving innovation in education highlighted how collaboration among schools, government and community partners is essential to building the best possible education system for students.

Nice read! It’s awesome to see Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) bringing together regional education, government & community leaders at the recent ConnectED Luncheon — the collaboration and data-driven focus are exactly what our schools need.
