The Education Foundation of Harris County (EFHC) served as a sponsor in two school district education foundation golf tournaments this week, helping the Harris County Department of Education’s philanthropic arm better support Houston-area students and educators.

On Oct. 20, Superintendent James Colbert Jr.; Dr. CJ Rodgers, assistant superintendent of education and enrichment; and Jonathan Parker, assistant superintendent for academic support services played in the Spring ISD Education Foundation Charity Golf Tournament at the Northgate County Club. In addition to supporting the neighboring district, the trio won the tournament.

Three days later, Colbert, Rodgers and Parker participated in the Aldine ISD Education Foundation 12th Annual M.B. “Sonny” Donaldson Golf Tournament at Tour 18 in Humble.

EFHC leverages these local partnerships to support Harris County students and educators through district sponsorships, innovative campus grants, school supplies in classrooms and scholarships for graduating seniors.
