In sharing best practices and showcasing Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) as an industry leader, Chief Human Resources Officer Dr. Tyrone Sylvester presented at the American Association of School Personnel Administrators annual conference, held Oct. 7-10 in Nashville. Titled, “No Magicians in HR,” Sylvester’s session emphasized thorough records to support accountability, professional growth and informed decision-making. It also highlighted effective hiring protocols and HR practices that align with key values to help organizational leaders reach school goals and enhance the employee experience.
