To help connect the Harris County Department of Education with community and business partners, employees have met with local leaders and advocated for the Department and its services at recent events.
On Sept. 10, Education Foundation and Partnerships Director Trina Silva attended the Houston East End Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 East End Means Business summit at The Federal Reserve Bank. The half-day program featured networking opportunities and panel discussions. Topics included keys to outsourcing, supply chains and reshaped business planning, and a CEO roundtable.

She joined Chief of Staff Danielle Bartz later that day at the Greater Houston Partnership Women in Government Reception. Area leaders in the organization’s Public Policy Division celebrated women making an impact in government relations and policy.
On Sept. 12, Silva attended the Second Annual Her Money Moves Summit. Hosted by best-selling author Staci LaToison at The Nichols Venue, the event connected business partners and offered solutions to individuals growing economically.
