The Houston Business Journal recently hosted “The State of Giving & Nonprofits,” a powerful panel discussion that featured some of the top nonprofit leaders and experts, and explored trends, best practices and issues shaping the industry. Held June 5 at the George Theater, Houston Business Journal Editor-in-Chief Sean McCoy moderated a panel that included Pierce Bush, Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star president and CEO; Steve Maislin, Greater Houston Community Foundation CEO; and Courtney Meadows Phillips 66 social impact manager.
Members of Harris County Department of Education’s Center for Grants Development and Education Foundation of Harris County attended the discussion to network and develop potential future partnerships.
