Just as the welcome page said to attendees, it’s never too early to start planning for a successful and engaging summer. So, for several Center for Afterschool, Summer and Enrichment (CASE) for Kids community partners and division staff members, three days were well spent this week picking up a host of tools, skills and ideas to plan out and deliver high-quality activities for Harris County youth this summer. The CASE for Kids team hosted a Bootcamp Blitz on May 28-30, with two main topics covered each day through collaborative activities and discussions. Topics included building a trusted community with staff and students, lifting up a student’s voice, team building, structuring a physical and emotionally safe environment, and curriculum planning.
