Precinct 4 Commissioner Leslie Briones invited school district superintendents from her precinct to a luncheon March 31 to discuss partnerships, services and needs and steps to build a stronger community among agencies. Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) Chief of Staff Danielle Bartz attended in place of Superintendent James Colbert Jr., joining leaders from Alief, Cypress-Fairbanks, Houston, Katy, Tomball and Waller independent school districts. The Department’s work with the Harris County Safe Schools Commission and Center for Afterschool, Summer and Enrichment (CASE) for Kids County Connections summer programming were both highlighted.
