The Education Foundation of Harris County Board of Directors voted in new officers and members for 2024-2025 during its annual business meeting on Oct. 25. Among the new appointments is Michael Parks voted in as board chairman. He’ll be joined by fellow 2024-2025 officers Patrick Joyce (secretary) and Steven David (immediate past chairman). The treasurer position is currently vacant.

New appointments to the board of directors are Dr. Matthew Blank, Ximena Magana, Emma Oliver, Tolu Opeloye, Mary Shekari and Meera Victor. They join current member Gina Felton and Harris County Department of Education ex-officio members James Colbert Jr., Richard Cantu, Andrea Duhon and Amy Hinojosa.

Additionally, Joni Baird, Lyndsey Ray, Courtney Taylor and Dr. Stefanie Rodriguez were appointed as advisory board members.
