September 20, 2024 by HCDE Communications

Over 50 years ago, our government leaders set aside time to honor and recognize the many contributions of Hispanic and Latino people. HCDE joins those across the nation to pay tribute to our hard-working and dedicated Hispanic and Latino students, staff and stakeholders.

In 1989, George H.W. Bush announced that our country would celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept. 15 – Oct. 15. We know past, present and future generations have and will continue to influence our society through many mediums, and we are thankful for all of their positive influences. The rich diversity is prevalent in our HCDE family and we are grateful to experience it daily.
