HCDE Builds Relationships at 2024 East End Day at City Hall

HCDE leaders attended the 2024 East End Day at City Hall with the Houston East End Chamber of Commerce on June 4, networking with fellow community partners and highlighting the Department’s work to serve Harris County learners.

Chief of Staff Danielle Bartz and Civic Engagement Coordinator Avery Spranger joined Quetzal Harper, Center for Afterschool, Summer and Enrichment (CASE) for Kids East End site coordinator at the event in representing HCDE. The Department is a member of the Houston East End Chamber of Commerce and provides afterschool and adult education services to stakeholders in the service area. They visited with a number of community partners, including Necole Irvin, Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs director, and Joaquin Martinez, District I council member.
