Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) joins organizations and school districts across the nation in recognizing May as Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month.

This year’s theme, “Advancing Leaders Through Innovation,” pays homage to the visionaries and trailblazers who have shaped America’s history and continue to influence the nation’s collective future. Innovation, resilience and a pioneering spirit are cornerstones of American leadership, and AANHPI leaders have made lasting contributions to the United States and to Harris County.
