To help further foster relationships between HCDE’s Adult Education division and vibrant Houston business partners, the sides came together on April 12 for a networking meet and greet at the Adult Education building. Entitled “Building Bridges,” the hour-long morning session was designed to set the stage for impactful collaboration. Businesses who attended included Launch Point Community Development Center and Watco.
Dr. Eduardo Honold, Adult Education senior director, welcomed event attendees before showing employment trends and opportunities. Partners then had the chance to network and meet each other.
Speakers followed, each providing a different perspective (student, employer, trainer and Adult Education director). Business partners closed the event by signing pledge cards to show their support of HCDE graduates.
