Center for Safe and Secure Schools Adds COVID-19 Checklist as it Performs School Safety Audits

School Safety and Security Audits are routine work for Harris County Department of Education’s Center for Safe and Secure Schools (CSSS). In addition to accessing factors like security, those audits now include COVID-19 precautionary measures.

CSSS recently released a video which highlights some of the best practices put forth by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) for school districts. Those include social distancing being aware of COVID-19 symptoms. They also include personal protective equipment like masks and desk shields for students and staff.
