HCDE communicators earn 28 awards from Texas School Public Relations Association

Harris County Department of Education Communications and Creative Services and Client Engagement earned 28 awards at the 2017 Texas School Public Relations Association Star Awards competition. Awards were announced at the association’s 55th annual conference in Galveston, Texas on February 22.

Awards for HCDE staff include two best of categories, nine gold awards, 10 silver awards and seven bronze awards. The association received over 1,000 entries in categories which included website, newsletter, writing, annual report and social media. The list of awards follows:

Best of Category:
• Internal Newsletter, print: “The Hub” employee newsletter
• Internal Newsletter, electronic: “The Connector” HCDE Board newsletter

Gold:
Internal newsletter printed (The Hub), internal newsletter electronic (The Connector), internal newsletter digital (The Hub), poster (Scholastic Art & Writing), annual report (Head Start), annual report (PAFR), photo (CASE for Kids), logo/trademark (Choice Partners), Video (HCDE), website (HCDE)

Silver:
Flyer (Learning Tips for Parents: CASE for Kids), Image identity package (Choice Partners), writing (Head Start annual report), news release (Adult Education grads), photo (Head Start), advertisement (Choice Partners), video (Human Resources), video (Head Start recruitment), e-newsletter (Center for Safe and Secure Schools), photo (Head Start ribbon-cutting)

Bronze:
