Education Foundation of Harris County Honored as Partner by Area School Districts

The Education Foundation of Harris County was honored as an invested partner and supporter by two area school districts at recent events.

On Feb. 6, Education Foundation and Partnerships Director Trina Silva attended the Spring Independent School District Education Foundation Partner Appreciation Breakfast at the Northgate Country Club. Recent impact by EFHC to Spring ISD include awarding nearly 50 educators $100 Tools for Teachers coupons, helping them purchase classroom supplies, and a $10,000 grant to support the Advancing Literacy – Let’s READ project. In addition, five Spring ISD students received 2024 EFHC scholarships last year.

As a token of appreciation, Silva received two gifts on behalf of the foundation – a personalized clock and piece of artwork by a Spring ISD student.

On Feb. 7, EFHC was honored at the Katy ISD Education Foundation’s Annual Investor Breakfast at Legacy Stadium. The foundation awarded several educators through Tools for Teachers last fall, and also a $10,000 grant to support Katy ISD’s Inspiring Imagination Teacher Project. Silva connected with teachers whose projects were made possible by this funding.
